One Year To Go!

9 September 2010 marked One Year To Go until kick-off in the biggest sporting event New Zealand has ever hosted - Rugby World Cup 2011.

Celebrations were seen from one end of the country to the other to mark the milestone – including a world record haka bid in Nelson and an attempt to break the world record for passing a rugby ball in Auckland.

Kiwis everywhere stepped up to say we’re ready to make RWC 2011 and the REAL New Zealand Festival a huge success, both for rugby and for New Zealand. From cows in Clutha to sky writers in Taranaki, the regions of New Zealand marked One Year to Go in their own unique way.
