New Zealand Symphony Orchestra: Odes to Joy — Dunedin

The programme features:
Gareth Farr — Kaitiaki (new commission)
Beethoven — Symphony No. 9 Choral Symphony
Considered one of Beethoven's most spectacular masterpieces, this Symphony is one of the best-known works of the classical repertoire.
In this concert the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra also perform a new work by celebrated New Zealand composer Gareth Farr, commissioned especially for the REAL New Zealand Festival.
There will be a free pre-concert talk by Gareth Farr in the Skeggs Chambers from 5.45pm - 6.15pm.
All preconcert talks are free of charge and do not require you to book ahead of time, but you may wish to come early as they often fill up fast.
