Queens Wharf was recently purchased by the Auckland Regional Council and the Government so it can be developed into a public space and cruise ship terminal. The wharf will also be a venue for celebrations and events - the first of which will be the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Since early September, entries in the design competition have been on display in the Union Fish Co. building on Auckland’s Quay Street, so that the public could view them and give feedback.
