From Sunday 13 September to Sunday 25 October, people will be able to visit an exhibition of all of the designs that have been submitted as part of the Queens Wharf 'Opening the Red Gates' Design Competition.
Queens Wharf was recently purchased by the Auckland Regional Council and the Government so it can be developed into a public space and cruise ship terminal. The wharf will also be a venue for celebrations and events - the first of which will be the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
The exhibition will be staged at the Union Fish Co. building on Auckland’s Quay Street, and will provide the opportunity for the public to see the ideas and designs developed for Queens Wharf and provide feedback and comment.
The design competition opened on August 24 and the winner will be announced in early November.
